(CNN) - The rise of rugby in America took another step forward this month as Las Vegas welcomed record crowds to its international tournament for the seventh year in a row.

Our own Reagan Hunter  was one of two Texas High School Girls selected to represent her country as part of the USA Girls High School All-American under-16 rugby team. 

Hunter will train with the rest of the team  at Mount Saint Mary's University in Emmitsburg, Md., to prepare for matches against teams from Canada.

McKenzie Borchers of Kingwood, was the other Texan selected.

There were 40+ kids out for this Saturdays youth practice from Grades 1-6.
